Novel: Summer Of '49 by David Halberstam

Correction: while recommending the book Summer Of '49 i said that it was in that year that both DiMaggio hit in 56 straight games and Williams hit .406.  The year that those two events occurred was of course 1941 not 1949.  But I still do highly recommend the book.
